What to check before you buy

BMX frames and forks live a hard life. Check the head tube, dropouts and the joints around the bottom bracket for cracks or dents, and check the fork steerer where it enters the headset. Ask whether the bike has been ridden at parks and jumps or mostly on the street, and note that full builds from established brands hold their value far better than assembled parts.
